Bev Kerr of Hound Sense is a Certified Master Trainer and Canine Behaviour Specialist who has been working with dogs and their humans for over 23 years.

She is dedicated to helping people understand dogs.  How they think, why they do what they do, how to communicate with them, changing their behaviour, how to bring out the best in them, their life stages.

Hound Sense Programs are positive, humane and customized to suit individual needs and can be done privately, in a class or workshop format. Whether teaching a dog to track or do agility, working with a dog who is deaf and/or blind, doing basic training, working with a fearful dog or helping a Breeder create an early socialization program, all Hound Sense Programs are practical, educational and fun.

Bev brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table and as a result has been fortunate and priviledged to partner with and act as a consultant for a number of different organizations, including:

  • City of Edmonton – off leash program and Safety Fairs

  • Local area rescue organizations

  • Lakes Animal Friendship Society – Burns Lake, BC

  • SPCA of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.

  • First Nations Technical Services Advisory Group (TSAG) regarding dogs on reserves

  • Contributor/consultant in the creation of an educational comic book “The Gift”

  • Health Canada
